Rev. Leon Campbell, Jr. is the Director of the Agape Youth and Family Ministry which serves over 1,000 children per month. In his role with Agape’s youth, his goal is to draw forth the divine in every child. In 2006, he traveled with Rev. Michael Beckwith to the historic Universal Peace Meditation in Sri Lanka. He was one of several religious leaders from around the world to participate in the ceremony and delivered the final prayer from the clergy to the one million participants in Sri Lanka and countless spectators from around the globe. Earlier this year, he accompanied the Agape’s GlobalWorks Ministry to South Africa and Kenya as part of a humanitarian aid program. He was the producer and the director of the groundbreaking 2007 Agape Youth Revelation Conference in Washington, DC. During this conference, the youth were able to visit the future site of the Martin Luther King National Memorial. They also actively participated in the beautification of a high school in Bowie, Maryland. This project included the production of a wall mural created and painted entirely by the Youth Conference teenagers ages 14 to 19. In September 2007, he, along with Rev. Michael, took part in one of the largest civil rights marches since the movement of the 1960’s in Jena, Louisiana. |
